Excellent book - can't believe only just read it!

I am embarrassed to say this but I have only just read this book...

It has been a really excellent read and I will be recommending it to anyone who cares to listen and many that probably don't.

However, I am embarrassed to recommend it now as it has been out for ages. It is called Crucial Conversations.   The first edition came out in 2002 and I missed it then.

So, why bang on about it now?

If you are either looking to put together a feedback course that is a little bit different or, you are working with a client that needs some interpersonal input...This is the book for you. For the seasoned trainer/manager/communicator, you will probably be able to relate to all the concepts already. However, knowledge and practice are two different things. 

There are some really neat little ways to talk about everyday stuff; Things we experience all the time. It will be a great book to read for those that want a refresh or some new ways of describing age old problems.

'Watch for people going silent or violent'

'Try to be curious not furious.'
